The Mixology logo is designed inspired by makeup itself—like eye liner, lip gloss, and other cosmetic substances—giving it a experimental feel. By forming the logo out of the very materials the channel celebrates, it visually conveys the brand’s hands-on, creative, and scientific approach to makeup, highlighting its playful exploration of both art and chemistry.

BRAND ICON

The Mixology brand icon is a chemical beaker shaped like a lip, merging the ideas of science and makeup. This design visually captures the channel’s playful experimentation, showing that Mixology is where creativity and chemistry come together to create bold, innovative beauty looks.

COLOR PALATE

For the Mixology color palette, I aimed to balance the worlds of makeup and science by using bold, bright tones with an almost neon quality. The vibrant colors reflect creativity and experimentation

For the Mixology project, I began by searching for inspiration and came across the neon green application makeup video. I was immediately drawn in, and it inspired me to pivot the project, shaping Mixology into something bold and experimental. The video even inspired the color palate. From there, I began sketching ideas and had originally sketched a heart-shaped beaker. As I started vectorizing, I noticed the shape naturally resembled lips, which felt more unique and memorable, perfectly combining the concepts of science and makeup while capturing the energy and creativity I wanted the brand to convey.
