Ulta Beauty App

overview
For this project, I used Figma to redesign the Ulta Beauty App to enhance user experience and visuals. After analyzing the existing app, I created four high-fidelity prototypes, including a revamped homepage and three shopping pages. These updates aimed to improve visual appeal and make shopping more intuitive. By applying user-centric design principles my redesigned app sought to provide a more engaging experience for Ulta Beauty customers.

For my project, I analyzed Ulta’s current branding, focusing on enhancing brand identity. After reviewing their website, I identified areas for improvement in visual and interactive design on the app. By integrating Ulta's signature colors and typography, I restructured the shopping experience to create a more cohesive, immersive interface. These changes were designed to reflect Ulta's brand identity better and make the app more engaging for users, ultimately enhancing overall usability and brand cohesion. I analyzed both their app and website to gain ideas for my redesign layout and organization of my redesign including a site map to organize the shopping categories to reduce the amount of organization.

LOW fidelity designs:

The low-fidelity designs in this project were key to solidifying my layout decisions. I realized that the two shopping category pages could share the same layout, with only the titles needing adjustment. For the specific shopping sections, I drew inspiration from their current website and incorporated circular images to maintain visual consistency.
