For this project, I conducted a heuristic analysis to assess the usability of existing ordering platforms. This helped identify key areas for improvement, such as navigation, information layout, and user feedback mechanisms. The insights gained informed my design choices, ensuring a more intuitive experience for users. In terms of branding, I established a color palette featuring teal, dark pink, and a lighter pink. Teal adds a fresh, modern touch, while the dark pink conveys energy, and the lighter pink softens the overall look. This cohesive palette not only enhances visual appeal but also reinforces our brand identity, creating an inviting atmosphere that resonates with customers.
I researched various different food apps with an order feature to analyze and decide how I should create an understandable user experience to order online. I also formatted what information should be on which pages, as well as the layout for featuring booking a room.
The onboarding flow begins with an eye-catching animation that aligns with the branding, leading into a sign-up page. Subsequent pages outline the benefits users will gain from the app, reassuring them of its value and explaining its key features.
